This site close to Anuradhapura historic site and within a short time able to reach the place.
Kumana National Park - It is the best place to observe birds in a wider angle. It is spread over 35,664 hectares. It is bounded to Kumbukkan Oya. It is the ideal location for watching birds because there are over 200 hectares fully consisted with large mangroves. It could nestle to many water birds, especially for immigrant birds. During the months of May and June, there are a lot of very beautiful water birds able to see. It is a paradise for watching birds.
Minneriya National Park - Another great location for seeing animals and getting the enormous feeling. Also, it will be a great platform for capturing unforgettable moments. Minneriya National Park located 182km away from Colombo and proximity to Polonnaruwa ancient city. The best time to visit the national park is May to October and it will pave the way to observe the giant elephants. Also, Minneriya National Park recorded the highest elephant’s density of Sri Lanka.
Bundala National Park – One of the best place to observe the birds. There are a large number of water birds visit here.
